Day Wise Plan

  • On arrival at the airport, our representative will meet you and you will be transferred to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The drive is parallel to the Teesta River for much of the way and driving time is approx. 4.5hrs.
  • The morning starts the full day of sightseeing in and around the capital city of Sikkim. Explore the sights and sounds of Gangtok and its surroundings. This will be a day of getting familiar with what Sikkim has to offer and what better way than to start by visiting the local hangouts and Local places?
  • Highlights:
    • Deorali Chorten
    • National Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Sundays & Govt. Holidays)
    • Ropeway (Cable Car) (Optional at extra cost)
    • Ganesh Tok
    • Tashi Viewpoint
    • Enchey Monastery
    • Ban Jhakri Waterfall
    • Local handicrafts & handloom Institute (Closed on Sundays & Govt. Holidays)
    • Flower Exhibition Centre
  • Post breakfast around 8:30-9:00 am, leave for a day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (Tsomgo Lake is a significant site for the locals as it is considered a holy lake). Frozen during winter months and a clear dark shade of blue in summer months, there are some fun ‘Yak-rides’ available organized by locals and these can be booked directly at the site with them (Yak Rides Optional at extra cost). The drive itself is picturesque and one attains an altitude of 12,000 ft.). Driving time of approx. 2.5 hrs one way depending on traffic. Baba Harbajan Temple (The temple lies amidst the Nathu-La and the Jelep-La passes and is built in the memory of Harbhajan Singh a sepoy in the 23rd Punjab regiment). Nathula Pass (Indo-China Border located at appx. 14000 ft.)
  • Please Note: Nathula Pass is officially closed for visitors on Monday and Tuesday and it’s subject to the availability of a permit. However, Permit Fee is included in the package cost
  • Morning around 9:30 am after completing permit formalities, our car will pick you up from your Hotel and move towards Lachen. Travel time is approx. 5.5 hrs (including stops for lunch and sightseeing on the way). Lachen is the last permanent settlement en-route to Gurudongmar lake. It is a sleepy village with simple hospitable hotels and homestays within the village. One can visit some sights of interest on the way toward Lachen. Overnight stay at Lachen.
  • Early morning around 6:30 am, move out for a day excursion to Gurudongmar Lake & Thangu Valley (The day starts early as Gurudongmar being located at close to 18,000 feet requires an early turnaround to avoid getting caught in bad weather). The driving time from Lachen to Gurudongmar lake is 3 hours one way. After sightseeing, return to Lachen for lunch and after lunch, leave for Lachung (50 km/2 Hrs). Overnight stay at Lachung.
  • This day covers considerable ground exploring the famous Yumthang Valley (Valley of Flowers) situated at 12,000 feet in the Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary & Yumthang hot-spring, after sightseeing return to Lachung for lunch and post lunch move on to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  • Please note: Zero Point which is approx. 35km away from Yumthang Valley is optional at an extra cost
  • Post breakfast, we depart for the Airport at Bagdogra.Driving time is approximately 4 – 5 depending on traffic. We recommend an evening flight and also coordinate flight timings with me before booking the flight.

Additional Information

  1. Please book an evening flight on the last day. Refer to the travel distance and time taken to reach Bagdogra Airport on Day 7
  2. Vehicles would stop at designated parking spaces, hence, there would be walking.
  3. There would be a couple of hours of traveling time between places. Respective distances and travel timings are mentioned in the itinerary details. Please be patient & accommodating.
  4. Doctor on call can be arranged at extra cost, if required (condition apply)
  5. Please check for the best airfare, and arrival & departure timings in case you are booking your air tickets yourself. Travel4all will not be responsible for wrong booking timings without required co-ordination.
  6. A common arrival time will be shared with the group for arrival at Bagdogra Airport as people would be joining from different parts of India.
  7. Please carry your personal medicines (Duly Prescribed by your Doctor) for mountain sickness & high altitude. You may not require them, but we recommend that you carry them along.

  • Mandatory RT-PCR negative reports 48-72 hrs prior to traveling are required for partially vaccinated travellers or travellers below 18 Yrs of age
  • Tourists who are fully vaccinated, need to showcase their relevant vaccination certificates for inter-state check-ins or during check-ins at their respective hotels.

Suggestion Note: -

  • If you are an Asthma/Heart patient or have any medical issues then consult your doctor before visiting as Lachen is located at a very high altitude which may cause problems.
  • Infant Baby is also not allowed to visit Lachen. (Consult with your doctor before visiting Lachen)
