Today you will arrive at Hubballi Airport (HBX) between
8:00-09:00 AM to start your journey to ancient &
timeless Hampi- Once the capital of the mighty
Vijayanagara Empire, it flourished between the 14th
and 16th centuries. Today, it is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site, known for its vast ruins, which include
more than 500 ancient monuments, temples, forts, and
palaces scattered across a rugged, boulder-strewn
landscape

The Badami Cave Temples, located in Badami, Karnataka,
are a remarkable example of Indian rock-cut
architecture. Carved into the cliffs of red sandstone,
these four cave temples date back to the 6th and 7th
centuries, built during the rule of the Chalukya dynasty.
The temples are dedicated to Hinduism and Jainism,
showcasing intricate carvings and sculptures that reflect
the rich cultural and religious diversity of ancient India.
Afterward, we’ll head to Pattadakal & Aihole, a short 30
minute drive away each. Both Pattadakal & Aihole, are
another UNESCO World Heritage Sites & are home to some
remarkable temples that we can look forward to exploring.

Day 2 (19th Dec) : Badami-Hampi (150 KM/ 3.5 Hrs) (B,L & D)
The Virupaksha Temple in Hampi is one of the most
prominent and historically significant temples in
India, dedicated to Lord Shiva, known here as
Virupaksha. It is part of the Hampi group of
monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the
state of Karnataka.
The main shrine is located in the innermost sanctum,
where the deity Virupaksha (Lord Shiva) resides. The
deity is in the form of a lingam, which is continuously
worshipped by priests and devotees.

Day 3 (20th Dec) : Hampi Continued (B,L&D)
The Vitthala Temple in Hampi is one of the most iconic
and architecturally magnificent temples in India,
dedicated to Lord Vitthala (a form of Lord Vishnu). It is a
part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Hampi and
reflects the grandeur and craftsmanship of the
Vijayanagara Empire. The temple is known for its intricate
carvings, musical pillars, and the famous stone chariot.
The 56 musical pillars, known as the SaReGaMa pillars, are
one of the temple’s most fascinating features. When
struck, these pillars produce different musical notes, a
result of the way they were carved and resonated sound.
While these pillars are now restricted to prevent damage,
they remain a testament to the technological and artistic
advancement of the period.
